London 📍 | Hybrid 3 days a week | Competitive salary + 10% bonus

Purpose: This role supports the commercial finance + insights team and multiple stakeholders from procurement, marketing and the food team to develop and deliver insightful commercial analysis to achieve strategic objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Weekly reporting on menu mix analysing sales, gross profit and average spend per head.
  • Be a key member of the cross-functional menu team, attending weekly meetings and supporting new menu process and pricing decisions.
  • Support with initiative tracking and detailed menu analysis on an ad hoc basis.
  • Ownership and development of Power BI dashboards that support the wider commercial finance team, striving to become a subject matter expert within the commercial finance + insights team.
  • Support commercial finance manager with inflation tracking and value-creation plan reporting.
  • Work with non-food procurement and marketing team to help control variable costs, provide data to support the forecast for optimal purchase volumes, and business partner with trading team to share site-level learnings for action.
  • Ad hoc support to other project work in the finance team, working closely with the head of out of restaurant + projects when needed.
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting process in relation to non-food costs.
  • Produce dish-level volume forecasts on an ongoing basis to support the procurement team with menu changes and to reduce stock write-off within the supply chain.
  • Convert large and complex data sets into quick and easy insight in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll need:

  • Working towards a professional qualification - ACCA or CIMA.
  • Curious, pro-active, self-starter; tenacious with good influencing skills.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders internally.
  • Experience of working with large, complex data sets.
  • Ability to make complex information quick and easy to understand, to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Great communicator and relationship builder.
  • Ability to work at pace and meet deadlines.
  • Methodical and considered thinker.
