What we need:
- A Technical Assistant to manage the co-ordination and completion of activities in relation to supporting food technical managers on food safety, quality, integrity, sustainability, allergen, and nutrition control.
What you'll do:
- Support the food technical team with daily tasks.
- Manage supply chain complaints - prepare reports, communicate with suppliers, follow up corrective action, complete closing out process.
- Support the food technical team with daily administration and maintenance of all technical and compliance related data.
- Surveillance testing, liaison with laboratories, managing sample requests for lab testing.
- Assess product specifications and raw material information to determine correct and accurate information, updating as required.
- Represent and promote technical integrity.
- Complete new lines process across the brands.
- Complete and collate accurate technical compliance reports.
- Support with allergen and nutritional data verification.
What you'll need:
- A degree qualification in food science and nutrition or related discipline - preferred.
- Minimum one year in a technical assistant role in the industry.
- Competence and good knowledge of ingredient specifications and legal compliance.
- HACCP level 2 minimum.
- Knowledge and understanding of food safety GFSI accreditation standards schemes.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of allergen management and nutritional regulations.
- Awareness of industry's sustainability and welfare standards.
- Experience of working with horizon scanning, FINN, and RASFF.
- Experience of working with digital information management platforms.
- Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong IT skills, specifically Excel and databases.
- Strong organisational skills, planning, prioritising, self-motivating, and a team player.
