We are looking for an experienced leader to take on an exciting new opportunity. The White Hart is a stunning Grade II listed 14th-century pub situated in one of the most picturesque villages in the UK. The pub, which is known for its historic charm, features a cosy, traditional interior and a rear courtyard. It is a popular stop for walkers and visitors to Castle Combe – and there is an opportunity to grow the trade with the local community. This is an exciting opportunity to take the business from a tenanted premises back into the managed house sector of Wadworth.
Responsibilities
As General Manager you will take accountability for the smooth and successful running of the pub, demonstrating leadership and professionalism and having the ambition and enthusiasm to drive the business forward. You will be responsible for building and leading a successful team to ensure outstanding customer service is always delivered.
Key Attributes
- Being an inspiring leader – who leads by example and can engage, excite, and communicate clearly to your team to ensure they enjoy their work and deliver outstanding service to all your customers.
- Being organised – with the ability to organise your own time to manage the priorities in your pub and run a great managed pub.
- Being commercially driven – the ability to build a business plan that grows the sales and profit of your pub with your Ops Manager and our support team.
- The ability to build a great team – train and develop your team and then plan how the resources are used.
- Have a passion for what you do – determined and tenacious and in doing so, show the passion and drive to keep growing the sales and profit of your pub whilst executing your plans.
