A manufacturing business based in Witney is seeking an experienced Power BI Implementation Analyst to lead the rollout of their first Power BI reporting suite on a 9 month assignment. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who has previously implemented Power BI dashboards from scratch within a finance or operational reporting environment. You will work closely with Finance and senior stakeholders to improve reporting visibility and transform existing Excel-based reporting into scalable, interactive dashboards.
The business operates within a product-led manufacturing environment, so previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, distribution or a similar sector would be highly beneficial.
The RoleYou will take ownership of the design, build and deployment of Power BI dashboards across Finance and Operations, helping the business modernise reporting processes and improve visibility of key commercial and operational data. Key areas of reporting will include:
- Financial performance
- Sales and margin analysis
- Cost analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting
You will also be responsible for:
- Translating manual Excel reporting into automated Power BI dashboards
- Building scalable data models and reporting structures
- Extracting, cleansing and transforming data from multiple sources
- Developing DAX measures and Power Query transformations
- Supporting stakeholders through training and adoption of new reporting tools
The successful candidate will be technically strong but also commercially aware, with the ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders and navigate legacy reporting environments. You will have:
- Proven experience implementing Power BI dashboards from scratch
- Strong Power BI Desktop skills including DAX, Power Query and data modelling
- Experience integrating Power BI with multiple data sources
- Experience delivering reporting solutions for Finance or operational teams
- Strong understanding of KPIs, management reporting and financial analysis
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

£450–£550 per day umbrella
