About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a growing finance team in a key leadership position. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of financial control, reporting, compliance and team development, while helping to strengthen processes and support the organisation through its next phase of growth.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the month‑end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Producing consolidated management accounts and supporting financial analysis.
  • Leading the external audit process and acting as the main point of contact for auditors.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust financial control framework, including reconciliations, policies and procedures.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the finance team to improve capability and efficiency.
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing enhancement of a new finance system.
  • Overseeing statutory reporting, technical accounting matters and tax compliance.
  • Managing cash flow forecasting and treasury activities.
  • Supporting payroll processes alongside internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and wider strategic finance projects.

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong post‑qualified experience in financial control, reporting and audit. Experience within a high‑volume transactional environment and finance system implementation is highly desirable. You will combine excellent technical knowledge with strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, alongside a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
