About the Job: A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Manager across both payroll and finance functions. Approximately 40% of the role will be dedicated to payroll processing and administration, with the remaining 60% focused on transactional finance and accounts support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a varied position with exposure to multiple areas of finance.
Duties will include:
- Processing weekly payrolls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation
- Managing payroll administration including starters, leavers, holiday pay, pensions, statutory payments, and payroll queries
- Preparing payroll reports and supporting HMRC submissions, CIS reporting, and pension administration
- Managing both sales and purchase ledgers, including invoice processing, credit control, reconciliations, and BACS payment runs
