About you
The ideal candidate will hold a CIPD qualification alongside a degree in HR, Business, or a related field, and will bring proven experience in a Senior HR Business Partner or equivalent role. You will also have a strong background within the FMCG, Consumer, or Packaged Goods sectors (food and beverage), demonstrating the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, commercially driven environments You will have a proven track record of using data and analytics to inform decision-making, track performance, and measure the impact of HR initiative. You will have business partnered with commercial and corporate functions: Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Finance etc
Purpose of the Role
The Senior HR Business Partner will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the HR agenda across the Commercial and Corporate functions, supporting around 250 employees.
Reporting to the HR Director, the role will partner closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic HR solutions, underpinned by robust data and analytics. This is a high-profile role within a Centre of Excellence model, where the postholder will be empowered to influence, lead change, and deliver value through both strategic projects and hands-on business partnering.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner and support the HR Director and senior leaders to define and deliver the HR strategy across Commercial and Corporate teams.
- Leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making, track performance, and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations (ER), ensuring best practice, consistency, and compliance.
- Lead and support key HR projects, including job evaluation, talent frameworks, and organisational development initiatives.
- Drive talent and succession planning, ensuring robust frameworks are in place to support business growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influencing people strategies with strong commercial acumen and understanding of business drivers.
- Support the embedding of cultural and organisational change, fostering agility, resilience, and engagement across the functions.
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence (Talent, Reward, L&D) to ensure seamless delivery of HR programmes.
More About You
- CIPD qualification and a degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Senior HRBP or equivalent role.
- A background in FMCG, Consumer, or Packaged Goods (food and beverage)
- Strong employee relations expertise, balancing risk, pragmatism, and preferably led change programmes / divestments and merging of cultures.
- Excellent business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into impactful people plans.
- Influencing skills at a senior level, with confidence in engaging and challenging stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset β comfortable and experienced leading and improving projects working with data, metrics, and insights.
- Proven success in leading HR projects covering job evaluation, frameworks, and talent.
