About the Job
Supporting the Payroll Manager, you will be part of a friendly and supportive team, managing the day-to-day running of multiple payrolls alongside core HR administrative duties.
Duties will include:
- Processing monthly and fortnightly PAYE payrolls accurately and within deadlines
- Managing BACS payments, year-end tasks and payroll reconciliations
- Producing and submitting RTI and auto-enrolment pension files to HMRC
- Handling complex payroll queries and acting as the primary contact for third-party providers
- Preparing payroll-related reports for wider business use
- Supporting submissions including P11Ds and PSAs
- Maintaining knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance
- Assisting with CIS subcontractor payroll processing and HMRC submissions
- Overseeing staff expense claim processing
- Carrying out HR tasks including onboarding, issuing contracts, managing benefits and handling HR administrative duties
About the Successful Applicant
You will have strong payroll experience, including PAYE and ideally CIS, with sound knowledge of HMRC processes and year-end requirements. A confident user of Excel and payroll/HR systems, you’ll also bring excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
