Part-Time Payroll Officer (Education) – 22.5 Hours – 13 Month FTC - Abingdon - Hybrid - £19,000 - £21,000 + Excellent Benefits

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team in a varied payroll position where no two days are quite the same. Working closely with colleagues, schools and external payroll providers, you'll play a key role in ensuring payroll processes are delivered efficiently and employees are paid accurately and on time.
Duties will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for payroll-related queries and providing guidance.
- Supporting schools with payroll processes, system usage and best practice.
- Processing payroll changes including starters, leavers, contractual amendments and additional payments.
- Calculating salaries, holiday pay, overtime and allowances etc.
- Reviewing payroll data and resolving discrepancies ahead of monthly payroll deadlines.
- Supporting pension administration activities and associated payroll processes.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with GDPR.
- Producing payroll reports and carrying out regular data validation checks.
- Liaising with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to ensure a high-quality payroll service.
- Assisting with payroll audits, reviews and process improvements.

The successful applicant will have previous experience working within a busy payroll environment and a strong understanding of payroll processes and legislation. You will possess excellent numerical skills, advanced Excel knowledge and exceptional attention to detail.
