About the Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have previous HR Business Partner experience within a commercial environment, strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice. CIPD Level 5 or equivalent is preferred. You'll possess excellent communication, stakeholder management and coaching skills, be highly organised, emotionally intelligent and confident managing complex employee relations matters whilst maintaining discretion and professionalism. It would be great if you have had experience with Tupe transfers or have gone through an M&A process.

About the Job

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a busy People Team, partnering with leaders across multiple business areas. You'll play a key role in delivering strategic and operational HR support, helping managers build high-performing teams while ensuring compliance, consistency and an outstanding employee experience throughout the entire employment lifecycle. Your portfolio will be around 300 employees to support.

Duties will include:

  • Partnering with managers to provide expert HR guidance across a range of people matters.
  • Supporting employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, flexible working and workplace concerns.
  • Coaching leaders to improve people management capability and encourage best practice.
  • Managing all stages of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to performance management and offboarding.
  • Reviewing, developing and communicating HR policies in line with employment legislation and business requirements.
  • Identifying learning needs and coordinating training initiatives to enhance capability across teams.
  • Monitoring HR metrics and producing reports to support business decision-making.
  • Analysing employee relations trends and recommending improvements to drive consistency and positive change.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with GDPR requirements.
  • Supporting HR projects and wider People Team initiatives.
  • Keeping up to date with employment law developments and applying these within the organisation.
  • Responding to day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers.
