Our client operates within the Education sector, with a workforce of around 200+ employees, they play a vital role in their community.

This is a varied HR Administrator position supporting the wider HR function in a busy, people-focused environment. Working closely with senior HR colleagues, you will provide comprehensive administrative support while contributing to employee wellbeing, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role would report into the HR Director.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, both digital and paper-based
  • Updating HR systems and producing reports for management
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from staff
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and compliance processes including DBS checks
  • Assisting with payroll-related administration and contract changes
  • Coordinating absence tracking, leave requests, and staff communications
  • Preparing documentation for meetings, hearings, and audits
  • Supporting health and safety reporting and record-keeping
  • Assisting with performance management processes and appraisal tracking
  • Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About the Successful Applicant:

You will have prior HR experience, ideally within an education or similar setting, and hold (or be working towards) CIPD Level 3. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information are essential. You will be approachable, resilient, and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Ideally you will have a drivers licence as it is in a rural location.
