An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fund Accountant to join a growing fund accounting team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering accurate financial reporting and accounting services across a portfolio of alternative investment funds, whilst supporting junior team members and maintaining high standards of client service.
Duties will include:
- Overseeing bank, cash and ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Producing treasury and liquidity reporting for fund structures.
- Monitoring financing arrangements and supporting compliance reporting requirements.
- Preparing and reviewing investor capital call and distribution documentation.
- Assisting with the preparation and review of indirect and corporate tax submissions alongside external advisers.
- Responding to investor enquiries and supporting wider investor relations activities.
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts and financial performance reports.
- Producing quarterly reporting packs for investors and stakeholders.
- Preparing and reviewing annual statutory and non-statutory financial statements.
- Liaising with auditors, legal advisers, tax specialists and other external service providers.
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls, risk management procedures and quality standards.
- Providing guidance, mentoring and on-the-job training to junior team members.
- Supporting workload planning and resource allocation to meet client deadlines.
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and operational enhancement projects.
- Taking increasing ownership of client relationships and portfolio management responsibilities as experience develops.
You will be ACA or ACCA part qualified. Previous exposure to private equity, private debt or real estate fund accounting is essential. Strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent attention to detail.
