About the Job

Working closely with the Sales & Marketing teams, this role plays a key part in supporting business decisions through insight, analysis, and financial leadership. You’ll contribute to commercial strategy, support tenders and pricing, and lead the development of a Commercial Finance Analyst, while ensuring financial rigour and continuous improvement across the function.

Duties

• Partnering with Sales & Marketing to shape commercial strategy and drive profitability
• Providing timely financial insight and highlighting areas for corrective action
• Supporting business planning processes to ensure targets are achieved or exceeded
• Assisting in contract negotiations and commercial proposal development
• Delivering customer and product profitability analysis with actionable recommendations
• Coaching and developing a Commercial Finance Analyst to strengthen decision support
• Ensuring financial compliance and reviewing ways of working for continuous improvement
• Working closely with wider finance teams to strengthen P&L understanding and strategy alignment
• Assessing commercial proposals in line with internal thresholds and controls
• Contributing to business projects, including acquisitions and process optimisation

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with commercial finance experience in FMCG or a similar sector. You’ll be commercially focused, analytically strong, and able to communicate clearly with stakeholders across the business. Self‑motivation, planning skills, and the ability to work under pressure are key to success.
