Commercial Finance Analyst
Location: London Hybrid 3 days in the office
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 plus Bonus and Benefits

About the Job
Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, this role will provide hands-on commercial finance support across a portfolio of projects. You will play an important part in maintaining accurate project financial information, supporting forecasting and reporting, and helping the wider business understand project performance. The position offers increasing exposure to analysis and business partnering as your experience develops.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining project costing information and ensuring financial data is complete and accurate.
- Updating project progress, milestones and financial information used for revenue recognition.
- Preparing consolidated portfolio information for review by the Commercial Finance Manager.
- Supporting working capital and cash-flow reporting across projects.
- Providing project data for budgeting and reforecasting processes.
- Reconciling commercial project information with ERP accounting records and investigating discrepancies.
- Supporting monthly accounting, revenue recognition and management reporting.
- Assisting with project setup and ensuring balance sheet items are appropriately reviewed at project closure.
- Preparing financial analysis for project reviews and operational stakeholders.
- Building strong relationships across Finance, Commercial and Operations.
- Supporting improvements to reporting, data structures and financial processes.
About the Successful Applicant
You will ideally be part-qualified or studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, although qualified-by-experience candidates will also be considered. Some exposure to project accounting, commercial finance or FP&A would be beneficial. Strong Excel skills, confidence working with detailed data and good communication skills are essential, alongside a methodical approach, curiosity and a genuine desire to develop commercially.
