We are partnering with a leading engineering and construction organisation in the Reading area to recruit an experienced Lead Finance Business Partner. This is a high-profile senior leadership opportunity, offering the chance to influence strategic decision-making within a complex, highly regulated environment. Working closely with Executive Directors and senior stakeholders, you will drive financial performance, provide commercial insight and support the successful delivery of major programmes across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Executive Directors and senior leadership teams to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting and governance across large-scale programmes
- Deliver commercial insight, analysis and constructive challenge to improve business performance
- Support long-term business planning, budgeting and financial control activities
- Drive finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the function
- Lead, mentor and develop finance teams within a matrix-led environment
Skills & Experience:
- Significant experience operating within a senior finance business partnering or finance leadership role
- Strong financial planning, budgeting, reporting and commercial management experience within large organisations (£200m +)
- Previous experience within engineering, construction, manufacturing, defence or other regulated sectors is essential
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
- Proven track record supporting complex integrated programmes, transformation initiatives and organisational change
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
