This small but exciting business is going from strength to strength, and they’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. Working in an open plan office, they value collaboration and hard work!

Working closely with the Finance Controller, you’ll be at the heart of the small finance team, helping to keep everything running smoothly. From managing invoices and reconciling accounts to supporting with month-end tasks, this is a varied role where you’ll get to work with different departments and develop your finance skills.

Day to day, you’ll be:

  • The first point of contact for finance queries, keeping things organised and responding to requests
  • Handling sales invoices, reconciling accounts, and making sure customers pay on time
  • Processing bank and credit card transactions, keeping records accurate and up to date
  • Managing purchase invoices, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring everything balances
  • Assisting with month-end accounts and preparing key financial reports
  • Supporting payroll and other finance tasks when needed

You’ll have AAT Level 3 or have experience in a small finance team and be confident working autonomously. A keen eye for detail, strong Excel skills and great organisation will be key. If you’ve used Sage 50 or have experience with basic payroll, that’s a bonus! Most importantly, you’ll be a proactive, self-motivated team player who enjoys working with numbers and solving problems.
