About the Job
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will provide hands-on HR leadership during a period of transition, supporting a small HR team and ensuring a high-quality service across the organisation. Duties will include:
- Leading, coaching and supporting the HR team.
- Advising managers on employee relations, absence, conduct and performance.
- Ensuring HR policies and processes remain compliant and effective.
- Supporting recruitment, engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Using HR data to support workforce decisions.
- Assisting with people projects and organisational change.
- Supporting the implementation of the new recruitment system.
- Ensuring a smooth handover to the permanent HR Manager.
Coming from a school background is a bonus.
About the Successful Applicant
You will be an experienced, approachable HR Manager with strong employee relations and UK employment law knowledge. Previous team leadership experience is essential, with education or public-sector exposure advantageous. CIPD membership or an equivalent HR qualification would also be beneficial.
