About the Job
This is a varied HR Specialist opportunity offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle, with particular emphasis on employee relations, HR advisory work and improving people processes. You will work alongside senior HR colleagues and operational managers, providing practical guidance while managing a broad range of day-to-day HR matters.
Duties will include:
- Providing managers and employees with practical advice on HR policies, employment law, TUPE and people-related matters.
- Managing employee relations cases covering disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence issues.
- Overseeing sickness absence cases, identifying trends and advising managers on appropriate action.
- Supporting senior HR colleagues with more complex and sensitive employee matters.
- Coaching managers to strengthen their confidence when handling people issues.
- Preparing accurate HR correspondence and documentation throughout the case management process.
- Supporting onboarding, probation, performance management and employee exits.
- Maintaining accurate employee information and compliance records within HR systems.
- Assisting with TUPE activity, including due diligence, employee information and communications.
- Building effective relationships with operational, head office and field-based colleagues.
- Contributing to HR projects, policy reviews, employee engagement activity and process improvements.
- Supporting organisational change and identifying opportunities to improve the overall employee experience.
About the Successful Applicant
You will be an experienced HR Advisor, HR Specialist or HR Generalist with strong employee relations knowledge and a sound understanding of UK employment law. Confident managing cases independently, you will be organised, adaptable and comfortable advising managers at different levels. Strong IT and communication skills are required, while CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience would be advantageous. You must be able to work full-time from the Wokingham office.
