Waddington Brown is delighted to be working in partnership with a world class employer in the Cambridge area on the key appointment of an HR Manager. Reporting to the Head of HR and being a guide and mentor to a small HR team, your role will be to support the organisation with a professional and efficient HR service. Key responsibilities of the HR Manager role include: Taking a lead on all generalist HR activity within the organisation, escalating issues to the Head of HR where necessary Liaising with key stakeholders, building and developing effective relationships with regular meetings to discuss the people agenda and workforce planning Providing managers with timely and pragmatic advice and guidance in relation to complex employee relations issues Monitor sickness absence and work alongside managers to facilitate return to work discussions, risk assessments etc Take the lead on HR projects, working alongside key stakeholders Create, develop and review policies in line with legislative changes Coach managers through effective methods of candidate attraction and recruitment Work alongside the Head of HR on developing the organisation’s EDI strategy As HR Manager it is expected you will have the following skills & experience: Ideally CIPD L5 as a minimum or equivalent level of experience Excellent generalist experience and confidence to take ownership and initiate ideas Experience of working in partnership with key stakeholders Experience of using HR systems, preferably Cascade Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional manner, confidential and discreet In return, the HR Manager salary and benefits package is: Salary up to £48k depending on experience Hybrid working 2 or 3 days in the office depending on commitments 35hrs per week 26 days holiday plus bank holidays Salary sacrifice workplace pension Electric car scheme EAP & Wellbeing Healthcare via Medicash Access to gym & swimming pool on site Free staff lunch and refreshments when working on site If this role sounds of interest to you or someone you know, please reach out to Eithne Sanders at Waddington Brown for an informal conversation.
