Role Description
The Architectural Technician will support the design and delivery of projects from concept through construction, working closely with architects and interior designers.
Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed technical drawings, developing construction documentation, and assisting with coordination of design information across disciplines.
The role involves using CAD and related software to produce accurate plans, sections, and elevations, and to update drawings in response to design changes and technical reviews.
The Architectural Technician will also contribute to site coordination, liaise with consultants where required, and help ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in St.
Helier.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Architectural Technology and Architecture, with an understanding of building design, materials, and construction methods.
- Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Construction Drawings, including the ability to produce clear, detailed, and coordinated documentation.
- Competence in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools commonly used in architectural practice (e. g., Auto CAD, Revit, or similar).
- Relevant qualification in architectural technology, architecture, or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of building regulations, industry standards, and best practices in design and construction.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience in commercial, retail, or residential projects is an advantage.
