Who will you be working with?
We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health, and Environmental Advisor to join our team at the LH Group (a Division of Wabtec UK Ltd) based in Burton on Trent. we support our customers through maintenance and operation optimisation with customised solutions for spare parts, repair, and overhaul activities on existing trains.
Role: Safety, Health, and Environmental Advisor
Location: Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, (DE13 8EN)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00pm and Friday 07:30am to 12:30pm, 37 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time
How will you make a difference?
You will support the development and upkeep of safety, health, and environmental systems, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. Maintain records for KPI reporting, promote a positive safety culture, advise on legislation, and audit practices to identify and drive improvements.
What will your typical day look like?
- Support the development and maintenance of compliant SHE management systems.
- Advise on legislation, best practices, and audit compliance to drive improvements.
- Deliver SHE support to operational teams and promote continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with managers to implement and sustain SHE initiatives.
- Conduct site audits, follow up on actions, and ensure legal compliance.
- Lead or support incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting and root cause analysis.
- Track and report on SHE performance metrics, recommending corrective actions where needed.
What do we want to know about you?
- NEBOSH Certificate in Safety, Health, and Environment
- Proven experience in designing and delivering HSE training.
- Experience in working and developing an integrated management system.
- Excellent understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
- Sound IT skills (particularly Excel).
