Wabtec develops and maintains a wide range of products including brakes systems, couplers, doors, HVAC, and passenger information systems. At the intersection of Sales & Marketing, technology, and customer experience, you will be responsible for the definition, delivery, and promotion of the new services and products that will support your aftermarket product line grow worldwide.

To develop and deploy a successful strategy you will interact with the original equipment team and will closely collaborate with marketing, engineering, operations, and the worldwide regional Wabtec leaders. You will present and validate your strategy plan with the transit leadership team every year.

As the worldwide service Product Manager, you will be the leader of a unique and differentiating Wabtec product vision and aftermarket strategy.

Be responsible for maximizing your product line aftermarket business value supporting targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin, enhancing market share of service business for couplers.

  • Lead the Services vision of the Product with the O.E Teams for a full end-to-end approach, defining couplers aftermarket strategy and roadmap, portfolio of products and service solutions as well as associated value propositions.
  • Organize the collection of customers’ needs and pain points to position your product value add, as well as capture market intelligence and competitors’ analysis.
  • Lead the regions strategic plans/budget reviews, identifying market trends and assessing opportunities for product innovations.
  • Develop business cases and product/services plans for the selection, definition, development, validation, scheduling, and introduction to the market of an innovation.
  • Participate in tenders and projects to reinforce the use of standard products/services.
  • Collect Couplers REX in project phase to improve future product/services solutions.
  • Steer the continuous competitiveness improvement of Product/Services, including pricing and life cycle costing, reliability and maintenance approach, engineering, manufacturing & distribution.
  • Establish thought leadership and launch pro-active lobbying and marketing activities together with regional/country Product line teams.
  • Present and validate your strategy with the Transit leadership team and execute this vision and roadmap with the stakeholders.
  • Guide regions/countries key account managers and establish strong working relationships with country sales, engineering, and technical product managers to support the strategy, best practices sharing, and scaling up business models, innovations, and best practices across regions.
  • Support and train regions teams in couplers business knowledge, value propositions, innovation introductions.

Graduated in Engineering or Business school.

+10 years of experience in product management, sales, business development and/or P&L responsibility, ideally in rail market (expertise in one or several Wabtec product portfolio is a plus) and/or OEM suppliers.

Held responsibilities with complex multipurpose technical systems (mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, digital).

Familiar with international companies work culture, preferably in a similar sector, ideally in a matrix organization.

Sales and technical oriented, strong business/financial acumen fueled by strong analytical skills and appetite for both internal and outbound interactions.

Strong communication skills.

Strong leader, you are also very autonomous in your daily work, able to manage both short term actions and set long-term vision.

Fluent English level (second language appreciated).

Travelling required a couple of times per month.
