This includes the creation, maintenance, and management of fleet-specific reliability growth plans, analysis of reliability data, and the identification of actions to ensure technical and contractual performance targets are achieved.

Lead reliability performance and improvement by driving technical analysis, reporting, and data-driven insights to identify trends, reduce failures, and improve product uptime and availability. Own fleet and system reliability growth through the development and implementation of reliability growth plans, Product Improvement Plans, and Wabtec’s FRACAS/WIM processes, ensuring root cause identification and alignment with contractual and quality requirements. Act as a key technical stakeholder by supporting reliability review meetings, prioritising critical issues with engineering teams, and ensuring emerging concerns are tracked and actioned through formal processes. Enable standardisation and long-term value by supporting the Through-Life-Care model, developing fault-finding guides and work instructions, and ensuring documentation and improvements are harmonised across the business. Contribute flexibly to business needs by undertaking additional responsibilities as required to support operational and customer objectives.

Proven track record in fleet/technical engineering/reliability within the rail industry, specifically with modern passenger fleets. Sound understanding of modern train systems, FRACAS, Cost Benefit Analysis, FTA methodologies, and compliance with safety and reliability requirements. Previous experience in reliability growth models and the ability to provide technical guidance within a matrix organisation structure. Flexible to travel to various Wabtec UK sites and customer locations, with a valid driving license.
