This exciting opportunity is for a new hire to join Napier Turbochargers, a well-established business that designs, manufactures and tests industrial turbochargers for the power generation, marine and rail traction industries. The role is part of the Wabtec Corporation and offers career growth both within the UK and abroad.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out production‑based tasks in machining and fitting of turbochargers
  • Assist with turbocharger assembly, rotor balancing, and development & production testing
  • Perform machining operations including turning, milling and grinding
  • Work towards an NVQ Level 3 qualification while performing daily tasks

Qualifications:

  • No previous experience required, but a demonstrable interest in mechanical engineering through school or hobby is advantageous
  • Self‑motivated individual with an enthusiastic approach
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Punctual and reliable; at least 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, preferably including Maths and a Science subject
