In this role you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects, including the development and deployment of a large-scale IoT platform. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
The role requires expertise in managing both software and hardware engineering projects, particularly in environments that involve cloud technologies, IoT devices, cybersecurity, and DevOps practices.
Your typical day will include:
- Defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Managing resources, budget, and risks.
- Ensuring projects are on time and within budget.
- Working with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders.
- Acting as the main contact between teams and business functions.
- Establishing performance metrics to monitor project progress, using project management tools and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Providing regular status updates, reports, and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting risks, issues, and achievements.
- Collaborating with technical leads to ensure that engineering resources are aligned with project goals and that technical challenges are addressed.
- Identifying and mitigating risks, developing contingency plans, and handling scope changes.
- Overseeing third-party vendors and ensuring they meet requirements.
- Assisting with contract negotiations.
- Mentoring team members and collaborating with HR for hiring.
- Promoting professional development.
- Maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Facilitating meetings and ensuring clear communication.
We want to know about you:
- Proven work experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, or related position.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field is desirable.
- Certification in Project Management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, PMP) is desirable.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in complex, high-tech environments, ideally within IoT, cloud infrastructure, or industrial automation sectors.
- Experience in project management, managing large-scale technical or engineering projects.
- Exposure to Agile methodology and working with Agile development teams.
