In this role you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects, including the development and deployment of a large-scale IoT platform. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.

The role requires expertise in managing both software and hardware engineering projects, particularly in environments that involve cloud technologies, IoT devices, cybersecurity, and DevOps practices.

As a Project Engineering Manager, you will work closely with the Lead Architect – IoT Edge & Cloud, the Lead Cybersecurity, DevOps, and UX Manager, and other technical leaders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

  • Manage resources, budget, and risks.
  • Ensure projects are on time and within budget.
  • Work with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish performance metrics to monitor project progress, using project management tools and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
  • Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting risks, issues, and achievements.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to ensure that engineering resources are aligned with project goals and that technical challenges are addressed.
  • Identify and mitigate risks.
  • Promote professional development.

Proven work experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager, or related position.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field is desirable. Certification in Project Management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, PMP) is desirable.

Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in complex, high-tech environments, ideally within IoT, cloud infrastructure, or industrial automation sectors.

Experience in project management, managing large-scale technical or engineering projects. Exposure to Agile methodology and working with Agile development teams.

Legal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom is required.
