About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Stores Operative to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate receipt, handling, movement, and despatch of goods in line with company procedures. You will work within a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock records, ensuring correct quantity, batch, and location entries within Oracle.
- Carry out stock movements and transactions promptly using RF scanning devices for real-time data accuracy.
- Receive inbound goods, completing visual checks, counts, and documentation verification.
- Book items into Oracle and store them correctly using RF scanning equipment.
- Pick customer orders efficiently and accurately, validating item and location accuracy through RF scanners.
- Prepare and produce outbound delivery documentation in line with company requirements.
- Safely operate a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including VNA, Bendi, Reach Truck, and Counterbalance Forklift (as required).
- Liaise with couriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve documentation or stock-related issues.
About You
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work using your own initiative.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Possess valid licences for Counterbalance Forklift/Bendi VNA. Reach Truck and additional MHE licences are desirable.
