We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team in Doncaster. Our Doncaster team supports our customers through maintenance and operation optimisation with customised solutions for spare parts, repair, and overhaul activities on existing trains.

How will you make a difference?

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, and position yourself as the leading supplier for rail system component overhaul in the UK and Ireland.
  • Respond to tender request queries for specific products and customers while collaborating with Business Development Managers, Product Sales Managers, Account Managers, and the Group Tender Manager to identify opportunities, build a pipeline, and secure orders that ensure profitable future revenue.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Build and maintain customer relationships to promote Wabtec as the preferred supplier for rail system component overhaul in the UK and Ireland.
  • Respond to tender queries and manage CRM data for key accounts.
  • Collaborate with various managers to develop opportunities, build a pipeline, and secure profitable orders.
  • Serve as the key contact for customers and provide accurate reports.
  • Lead and support tenders, ensuring competitive and compliant bids.
  • Develop commercial and technical proposals and manage the tender approval process.
  • Contribute to the SIOP process and provide Variation Order support.
  • Maintain Capture Plans and ensure contract compliance with company mandates.
