Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and hands‑on Production Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of heavy plant equipment. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, technical drawing interpretation, and a willingness to travel internationally to support projects on‑site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the mechanical installation, set‑up, and maintenance of industrial equipment both in‑house and on‑site (including machine enclosures, robotic systems, welding equipment, and WAAM systems), with flexibility to travel to global locations as required.
  • Interpret and work from technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
  • Carry out mechanical servicing, repair, maintenance, and equipment replacement to ensure optimal performance.
  • Apply practical mechanical fitting skills, including the use of hand tools and powered equipment, as well as safe mechanical handling, lifting, and slinging techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient project execution and timelines.
  • Maintain quality standards by contributing to quality assurance and control processes, including documentation and continuous improvement procedures.
  • Utilize CAD software to review, modify, and create technical designs and layouts.
  • Perform on‑site troubleshooting and support during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge, ensuring confidentiality and security of company information.
  • Assist with basic electrical systems integration where required.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff or contractors.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational and computer literacy skills.
