WAAM3D ( is a newly developed technology company which is working in the field of a new metal 3D printing process — Wire based Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM). WAAM is currently revolutionising manufacturing technology and is set to have a major impact in the next few years. Our customers are the major players from different manufacturing sectors, including aerospace, commercial aviation, oil and gas, defence, construction, and mining. We aim to provide a fully integrated technical solutions to our customers, using the WAAM system as the platform with specially designed hardware and software.
The role
- Work with the rest of the AM team and deliver WAAM application development and demonstration of the technology to the end user. This includes preform and tooling generation using CAD and supporting business case studies with customers.
- Using the state-of-the-art WAAM technology to manufacture components via the plasma-arc WAAM process or the CW-GMA WAAM process.
- Maintain quality results by participating in WAAM3D’s quality assurance program; maintain records according to the QMS procedure.
- Supervision of operators after training period.
- Provide online and on-site support/training to the end users for implementing WAAM technology successfully for the end users’ requirements.
- Contribute to the development of new WAAM3D system, test newly developed hardware and software, and provide feedback to the development team.
- Support other activities, including sales & marketing, system installation, etc.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Also included is 3-months AM training with parts done by WAAM3D which includes robot operation, WAAM technology intro, basic robot programming and WAAM software usage.

- University Degree of grade 2.1 or equivalent.
