If you’re someone who enjoys mowing lawns, keeping gardens looking their best and completing general maintenance tasks, then this role could be for you.

Eligibility to Apply

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments). Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

About the Role

The Home Support Handyperson ensures the maintenance and safety of the gardens and homes of consumers of the York HACC service. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A strong commitment to working with frail aged and younger people with disabilities
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good organisational skills
  • An ability to work safely and efficiently with chemicals associated within the position's scope of work
  • 'C' class drivers licence
