WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Each of our seven regions has their own dedicated Mental Health Unit, which provide a range of services that may include acute psychiatric inpatient care, adult and older adult mental health, child and adolescent mental health, alcohol and drug support, and community-based programs.

- General Adult Inpatient Psychiatry
- Consultation Liaison
- Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
- Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (ICAMHS)

Remuneration: $395,490 - $656,772 per annum*
*Full-time remuneration is inclusive of base salary, professional development allowance, 11.5% superannuation, and applicable region-specific allowances.
About You:
To be eligible for appointment at WACHS via the Expedited Specialist Pathway, you must demonstrate the following:
- Membership of the UK Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT)
- Confirmation of Specialist training from the GMC.
- High level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge and clinical experience and skills in the practice of psychiatry.
