Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join a leading global provider of advanced subsea and offshore technology based in North Yorkshire. The company specializes in designing and manufacturing world-class ROVs, trenchers, and submarine rescue systems for deep-water environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and scheduling production using MRP/ERP systems
- Resource and capacity planning, generating work orders and reports
- Liaising with sales, production, and logistics to prioritize workloads
- Monitoring KPIs and analyzing performance data
- Expediting materials and reviewing shortages to ensure smooth production flow
- Contributing to internal SLAs and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong background in SME manufacturing (excluding FMCG)
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups advantageous)
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in purchasing and procurement activities
- Understanding of manufacturing resource/materials planning
