Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join a leading global provider of advanced subsea and offshore technology based in North Yorkshire. The company specializes in designing and manufacturing world-class ROVs, trenchers, and submarine rescue systems for deep-water environments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and scheduling production using MRP/ERP systems
  • Resource and capacity planning, generating work orders and reports
  • Liaising with sales, production, and logistics to prioritize workloads
  • Monitoring KPIs and analyzing performance data
  • Expediting materials and reviewing shortages to ensure smooth production flow
  • Contributing to internal SLAs and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong background in SME manufacturing (excluding FMCG)
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups advantageous)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience in purchasing and procurement activities
  • Understanding of manufacturing resource/materials planning
