We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Financial Assistant to join our friendly and supportive finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous finance experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional attention to detail, and enjoys taking initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and managing the finance mailbox, categorising and responding to emails promptly
- Processing invoices and credit notes, ensuring accurate coding within the finance system
- Communicating proactively with suppliers to resolve queries efficiently
- Handling internal and external finance queries via phone and email with professionalism
- Setting up new suppliers and maintaining accurate supplier records
- Verifying invoices and preparing payment runs for approval
- Processing payments and issuing remittance advice to suppliers
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
- Maintaining organised financial records to ensure audit readiness
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks as required
