We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Customer Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in engineering/IT and gain hands‑on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace. We are currently recruiting across the UK and NI.
Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
- To diagnose faults, make repairs and replace modules on ATM\’s, EPOS, Self‑Checkouts, PCs, kiosks, and associated peripherals.
- Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory/region to ensure continuity of customer operations and a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customer’s satisfaction and/or in compliance with agreed upon Service Level Agreements.
- May require prolonged travel, carrying and lifting tool kit/parts of varying weights. May require bending/squatting, walking/standing/sitting for prolonged periods.
- The role requires the ability to work on your own with minimal supervision and to be able to manage your time effectively and pro‑actively.
- Company vehicle with fuel card provided which can be used for personal use (BIK and usage fee per mile applies).
- Tools/laptop/Android phone and all other required tools are provided.
- Uniform and PPE provided.
Candidates profile and qualifications
- A full UK manual driving licence is mandatory.
- Experience is preferred in break/fix, IT, computer/mechanical repair and basic computer hardware and software knowledge but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Experience preferred with Windows operating systems.
- Experience preferred in general PC hardware and software maintenance.
- Works well with minimal supervision, good problem‑solving skills, ability to pick up new skills quickly with the ability to work under pressure.
- High level of mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer‑facing relationship skills required.
- To be flexible with working shifts as you will be required to work early and late shifts including some weekends and rotating shifts.
