We are looking for a Compliance Consultant to join our established team, reporting to the Process Delivery Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in data protection, compliance or HR operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organisation and collaboration are essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by managing end-to-end Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), Pre-Action Protocol (PAP) requests and other information requests from employees and external organisations. As these requests are subject to statutory deadlines, you'll play a critical role in ensuring they are handled accurately, efficiently and in line with legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end process for Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), PAPs and other information requests.
  • Ensure all requests are completed within statutory timescales and in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Analyse employee data and produce reports to support compliance activities.
  • Assess risks and make informed decisions to ensure legal obligations are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business to resolve queries and gather information.
  • Maintain accurate records and support continuous improvements to processes.
  • Contribute to team objectives while taking ownership of your own workload and priorities.

About You

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, analytical and confident working with sensitive information. You'll have:

  • Experience in a compliance, data protection, HR operations or other sensitive business environment.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, particularly Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and the right of access.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and consistently meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and the confidence to make risk-based decisions.
  • A proactive, resilient and collaborative approach with a strong attention to detail.
  • A commitment to working with integrity and delivering excellent customer service.

Desirable Skills

  • Degree, apprenticeship or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience working within an HR Shared Services environment.
  • Experience using HR systems such as SuccessFactors.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat tools.
  • Project management and problem-solving experience, particularly in resolving technology-related challenges that could impact statutory deadlines.
