📍Within 1 hour commute of Middleton, Manchester

This is a hybrid commercial and client-facing role focused on driving growth in planned and reactive mechanical & electrical services. You will act as the key contact for new and existing clients – scoping technical works, preparing accurate quotes, and closing orders for a wide range of hard FM solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business across the FM, commercial, and industrial sectors.
• Nurture and grow existing client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for all hard FM and building services needs.
• Scope, cost, and quote for a variety of M&E and building services works.
• Close orders for PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), reactive works, and project upgrades.
• Promote up-selling opportunities, including PPM contracts, asset lifecycle services, and multi-site coverage.
• Propose and price project works such as:
  • Boiler and heating system replacements
  • Chiller and AHU upgrades
  • Energy-efficiency improvements and sustainability projects
• Work closely with engineers, project teams, and operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Monitor contract performance, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging building technologies.

About You

You will be a confident communicator with strong commercial instincts and an understanding of hard FM services.

• Proven experience in business development, contract management, or client account management within Facilities Management or building services.
• Good understanding of mechanical & electrical systems (boilers, chillers, AHUs, HVAC, lighting, energy solutions).
• Demonstrated ability to scope works and produce accurate costing and quotations.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A track record of winning new business and expanding existing accounts.
