WA Consultants is currently recruiting for an Agile Delivery Manager for an initial 12-month contract. Our client is looking for someone who can be onsite 60% of the time and has offices around the UK including Newcastle, Leeds or Birmingham.
Key Responsibilities
- Agile Delivery & Team Leadership: Lead an agile software delivery team, drive sprint planning/execution, proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and quickly build strong working relationships across engineering and delivery partners.
- Technical & Platform Competence: Operate effectively from day one with ServiceNow; strong Jira skills at team and programme level; familiarity with testing, data platforms & flows, and modern engineering practices; awareness of Azure, AWS, Terraform, Gti strategies, and release pipelines.
- Planning, Coordination & Execution: Maintain ordered backlogs, create delivery plans, track progress, and ensure timely reporting and communication of delivery status to stakeholders.
- Problem Framing & Continuous Improvement: Perform discovery activities, quickly understand business needs and technical roadmaps; apply an agile mindset to remove impediments & innovate around constraints.
- Collaboration & Community Leadership: Work closely with Product Managers, engineering stakeholders, and other DMs, share rationale and best practice across the wider community.
