Role Responsibilities:
Role Responsibilities:
As a conveyor engineer you will be responsible for the delivery of various ongoing projects. As such we are looking for support from 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday with regular chance for over time required on both weekdays and weekends.
Project Delivery:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in the successful delivery of conveyor system projects, from conception to completion.
Collaborate with project managers and teams to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
Installation of conveyor systems and equipment for projects will be the main responsibility which the experience will be beneficial to this role.
Maintenance:
Undertake reactive breakdown and planned maintenance work on existing conveyor systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
Warehouse/Factory:
Day to day when not on site the support with various activities on site will be required. This could include but not be limited to; Fabrication, Assembly, Fork lift operating, Loading Transport, Stock, Checking Tools and Equipment etc. Reviewing upcoming project and assist with timescale planning. Organizing the team to produce equipment on time.
Design And Development:
Contribute to the in-house design and development of conveyor systems.
Work closely with the project team to create innovative and efficient solutions based on site experience and applying site knowledge to aid them with project planning.
Requirements:
Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite, AUTO CAD a benefit also.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
Proven experience as a Conveyor Engineer with a focus on design, development, and project delivery.
Strong knowledge of conveyor system components and mechanics.
Proficient with welding.
Ability to conduct reactive breakdown and planned maintenance efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
The Location:
IDC Conveyors are in South Cerney, GL7 5TQ. Should we require work to be off site transport will be arranged, costs reimbursed or the access to a company vehicle will be provided. Parking is available on site at IDC.
