Account Executive AI / Finance Software / B2B SaaS | London | On-site

About the Company

We are representing a high-growth AI software company modernising the technology used by finance and accounting teams. The company is building an AI-native financial operations and ERP platform designed to replace legacy systems and automate manual accounting workflows. The product brings together intelligent automation, real-time financial processes, reporting, and support for complex multi-entity environments. The business is expanding quickly across mid-market and enterprise customers, creating an opportunity for experienced commercial hires to join while the go-to-market organisation is still being built and scaled.

The Role

This is an opportunity to join the London commercial team as an Account Executive, owning the full sales cycle across mid-market and enterprise finance organisations. You will prospect into target accounts, run discovery, deliver live product demonstrations, navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes, and take opportunities through to signed contract. This is a hands-on closing role rather than a position where pipeline is simply handed to you. You will be expected to generate your own opportunities while working closely with Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Engineering, and broader GTM teams. The role is particularly well suited to someone who has sold ERP, accounting, finance, or other complex B2B software—or an AE with a strong track record of running technical demos and consultative sales cycles.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through discovery, demonstration, negotiation, and close.
  • Build your own outbound pipeline alongside opportunities generated through Marketing, Partnerships, and broader GTM activity.
  • Sell into mid-market and enterprise finance teams with multiple stakeholders involved in the buying decision.
  • Run structured discovery to understand customers' existing finance systems, workflows, operational challenges, and business priorities.
  • Deliver compelling live product demonstrations tailored to each prospect's requirements.
  • Manage consultative sales cycles typically lasting several weeks and involving meaningful B2B software contract values.
  • Develop relationships across finance organisations and navigate complex buying committees.
  • Maintain strong pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
  • Work closely with solution, product, and engineering teams throughout the sales process.
  • Feed customer and prospect insights back into the product organisation to help shape future development.
  • Help improve messaging, processes, ICP definition, and go-to-market execution as the commercial organisation scales.

What We're Looking For

  • Several years of full-cycle B2B SaaS sales experience, with the source covering both developing AE and more experienced AE profiles.
  • A proven track record of owning opportunities from initial outreach through signed contract.
  • Experience selling complex software rather than highly transactional products.
  • Strong discovery, presentation, and live-demo capabilities.
  • Confidence selling to multiple stakeholders and navigating structured buying processes.
  • Comfortable generating your own outbound pipeline rather than relying exclusively on inbound leads.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to manage opportunities independently.
  • Highly proactive, organised, and accountable for your own number.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with high expectations and significant individual ownership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling ERP platforms or financial systems.
  • Background in accounting, finance, fintech, or financial operations software.
  • Experience selling platforms used by CFO, Finance, Controller, or Accounting teams.
  • Exposure to mid-market or enterprise sales cycles.
  • Experience selling software involving integrations, migrations, or complex operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, or comparable sales technology.
  • Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, or Solutions teams during the sales process.

Why This Role Is Exciting

  • Own the entire commercial process: Prospect, discover, demonstrate, negotiate, and close rather than owning only one part of the funnel.
  • Sell into a large established software category being reshaped by AI: The product addresses core financial infrastructure used by virtually every growing business.
  • Join during a major commercial build-out: Help shape how the sales organisation operates as the company scales its go-to-market engine.
  • High level of autonomy: AEs are trusted to build pipeline, manage deals, run demos, and drive opportunities independently.
  • Direct product influence: Prospect feedback is shared with Product, giving the commercial team a meaningful role in shaping the roadmap.
  • Strong cross-functional exposure: Work closely with GTM, Partnerships, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and solutions-focused colleagues.
  • Career progression: The environment is designed to reward strong performance and give high-performing commercial hires increasing responsibility as the organisation grows.

Compensation

£95K – £125K base, £30K – £40K Equity, £95K – £125K Commission, OTE: £180,000 - £250,000 Full-time position. Based in London, UK. Hybrid 3 days per week in-office.
