We are working with a venture-backed industrial technology company rebuilding the software stack that runs modern manufacturing. This is not SaaS for dashboards. This is software that directly controls machines, workflows, and operational output inside real facilities. If you’ve worked in defence, aerospace, robotics, or mission-critical environments — this will feel familiar.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and building the internal operating system for advanced manufacturing sites
  • Owning features end-to-end (infra backend data frontend deployment)
  • Shipping continuously into live operational environments
  • Working directly with operators to remove bottlenecks with code
  • Setting early architectural standards that will scale across multiple sites
  • You won’t be maintaining legacy systems. You’ll be defining the foundation.

The Kind of Engineer We’re Looking For

  • ~3–7 years experience shipping production systems
  • ~ Experience in defence, aerospace, robotics, hardware-adjacent, or mission-driven startups
  • ~ Former founder / founding engineer / early technical hire
  • ~ Experience building complex operational platforms (ERP, internal tooling, workflow-heavy SaaS)
  • ~ Comfortable operating without heavy process or management layers

We care more about ownership and systems thinking than pedigree.

Tech Stack

  • TypeScript / React
  • PostgreSQL
  • AWS
  • Terraform
  • Modern DevOps practices

You should be comfortable moving across the stack and making pragmatic architectural decisions.

What This Is

  • Small, high-agency team
  • Direct access to leadership
  • Software that runs physical systems
  • On-site engineering culture
  • High ownership, low ego

What This Isn’t

  • Remote-first SaaS
  • A large org with strict role boundaries
  • Research-heavy or academic

Why join?

You’ll help rebuild physical manufacturing infrastructure in the UK and beyond. The roadmap includes scaling from a handful of sites to many more — and the software layer is central to that expansion. If you want your code to control real machines — not just dashboards — email with a short intro and links to work you’ve built.
