Key Accountabilities:
- To support the Head of Platform Services in the delivery of objectives relating to W1M’s Model Portfolios and Funds held on Platform:
- Platform Administration, execution and implementation / rebalancing of the MPS Model Portfolios
- Internal system(s) updates post-rebalancing of model portfolios on platforms
- External third-party data provider updates post-rebalancing of model portfolios on platforms
- Developing and operationalising controls related to the Model Portfolio Business
- Third Party Fund set ups on multiple platforms
- Execution of investment instructions from IFAs on platforms that are not fully automated
- New IFA platform set ups/permissions
- Assisting the Head of Platform Services with the relationship management of multiple platforms
- Production and oversight of various weekly / monthly Fee Rate(s) reports from multiple platforms to ensure advisor fee(s) accuracy
- Managing the setting up of six-monthly W1M Governance Meetings with multiple platforms
- Management of the Freshdesk Workflow Inbox for the Platform Services Team
The role reports to the Head of Platform Services within the Middle Office and will involve the direct execution of many of the processes mentioned above. The Platform Services Team is a new team that is evolving; therefore, it is important to note that the Platform Services Specialist role will involve the execution of and/or participation in other associated investment management activities as required by Middle Office. The role participates in the overarching Middle Office objective of reducing manual processes, improving efficiency and through this, supporting the cost-effective growth of W1M.
Background/Experience and Competencies Required:
- 2-3 years + Front / Middle Office / Advisor IFA support experience in wealth management in an administration / operational capacity preferred;
- Relevant industry qualification (e.g. CISI) or willingness to work towards such qualification
- Familiar with desktop delivered technology.
- An enthusiasm and aptitude for Financial Services and a general understanding of trends and tools in the industry;
- Both an operational and development focus – understanding the importance of controlled processes together with the ability to envisage and plan for the future;
- An understanding of the importance of data management and data integrity;
- Good communication skills and a natural networker. Able to operate with senior front office stakeholders as well as operations teams;
- Good knowledge of asset / wealth management;
- Security and confidentiality aware.
