The Opportunity

W1M is looking for its first dedicated Reward Manager to help shape and build the next phase of our reward strategy as the business continues to evolve and grow. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys operating both strategically and operationally that wants to play a hands-on role in building a modern reward framework within a fast-paced financial services environment. The role suits an ambitious reward professional currently operating at Senior Reward Analyst / Reward Partner / Reward Manager level, or a strong number two looking for the opportunity to step into a broader standalone role with genuine visibility and impact.

Working closely with the Chief People Officer and senior leadership team, the successful individual will lead on all aspects of reward across the business, helping to shape compensation philosophy, support remuneration governance, and drive operational excellence across reward processes.

About the Role

The Reward Manager will be responsible for supporting and developing W1M’s reward framework across compensation, benefits, remuneration governance and reward operations. This role combines strategic input with operational delivery and will require someone who is comfortable moving between high-level reward design and detailed execution. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reward Strategy & Compensation
    • Support the development and evolution of the firm’s reward strategy aligned to business objectives and growth plans
    • Partner with the Chief People Officer and senior stakeholders on compensation structures and reward philosophy
    • Lead annual compensation review processes including salary reviews, bonus processes and benchmarking
    • Provide market insight and analysis on compensation trends within financial services
    • Support organisational design and job architecture initiatives where required
    • Build and maintain compensation frameworks, salary benchmarking and pay analysis
  • Remuneration Governance
    • Support the operation and ongoing development of remuneration governance frameworks
    • Assist with RemCo-related activity including papers, data analysis and remuneration reporting
    • Ensure reward practices remain aligned to relevant financial services regulatory requirements
    • Support MRT identification and remuneration policy processes where applicable
  • Benefits & Reward Operations
    • Oversee the administration and development of employee benefits programmes
    • Manage reward-related operational processes ensuring accuracy, control and efficiency
    • Support payroll-related reward activity where required
    • Manage relationships with external reward and benefits providers
    • Drive continuous improvement across reward processes, reporting and MI
  • Data, Analytics & Insights
    • Produce reward analysis, modelling and management information to support decision making
    • Analyse reward trends including retention, attrition, diversity and compensation positioning
    • Support budgeting and forecasting processes from a people cost perspective
    • Use data and insights to support strategic workforce and reward decisions

About You

We are looking for someone who combines strong reward technical capability with a practical and commercially minded approach. The successful candidate is likely to:

  • Have proven reward experience within financial services
  • Have experience supporting regulated remuneration environments
  • Be comfortable operating both strategically and operationally
  • Enjoy building and shaping processes rather than simply maintaining existing frameworks
  • Be analytically strong and highly comfortable working with data and modelling
  • Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Be able to operate with discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive information
  • Be proactive, pragmatic and delivery-focused

Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong experience within Reward / Compensation & Benefits roles
  • Financial services experience is essential
  • Experience supporting remuneration governance and regulated environments preferred
  • Strong Excel and analytical capability with systems
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and committees
  • Experience with reward benchmarking and compensation analysis
  • Degree qualified and/or relevant professional qualification desirable
