Working within our dedicated US clients team, this role presents an entry point into W1M where you can develop broad market knowledge while learning how we operate and service our clients, enabling you to grow and develop a long-term career offering plenty of progression either through our investment or advisory teams.
We focus on working with High and Ultra-High-Net-Worth individuals and families, Charities and Institutions, offering a one-stop shop for all wealth planning, investment and tax services including multi-jurisdictional situations. Beyond our direct client relationships, we also maintain longstanding partnerships with Independent Financial Advisers providing access to our market-leading investment solutions.
We are continuing to expand with ambitious plans to increase our AUM to over £50 billion by 2030 based on the foundation of the quality of advice and services we provide to our clients, alongside peer-leading investment performance.

Portfolio Management Support:- Use active cash management to cover transactions such as loan interest, investment management fees and external custodian fees via the instruction of cash transfers and the inputting of foreign exchange trades.
- Liaise with external custodians to investigate reconciliation issues.
- Using Bloomberg and other financial data systems to update pricing for benchmarking requirements and to help set up new securities on portfolio management systems.
- Collation of corporate action notifications for the Portfolio Management Team to review.
- Ensuring static data in APX system, including both Management & reporting groups are correct and fixing incorrect data where appropriate.
- Assist in preparing client meeting presentations, reports and investment proposals.
- Provide portfolio information and analysis to help Portfolio Managers, Wealth Managers and Tax Team in order for client queries to be answered.
- Develop an understanding of W1M’s investment Strategy and its proposition, specifically of those that relate to the target clients of the US Private Wealth team.
- Develop an understanding of US/UK clients, tax implications of realising gains and compliant investing.
- Stay informed of broad financial markets through review of output from W1M’s investment team and other external sources.
- Complete required continuing professional development (CPD), including mandatory internal compliance and training programmes.
CISI Investment Advice Diploma
CFA UK Investment Management Certificate (IMC)
Minimum of 6 months experience working in Portfolio Management / Investment Management environment.
