This opportunity would suit an organised and motivated individual with previous experience within the construction, building materials, engineering, or related sectors. You'll be a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner, strong administrative skills, and a desire to develop a long-term career within procurement and buying.
The Role
- Supporting the procurement and buying function with daily administrative duties
- Raising purchase orders and processing supplier documentation
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments by telephone and email
- Obtaining quotations and monitoring supplier performance
- Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate records
- Assisting with stock, materials, and delivery schedules
- Providing general office support across the business
About You
- Previous experience in an administrative, buying, procurement, or construction-related role
- Excellent telephone and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with great attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
