Warehouse ManagerW Talent Manufacturing are working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business based in Nottinghamshire to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a large, fastâpaced distribution and storage operation within a highâvolume production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and embed a proactive health & safety culture, ensuring full compliance with HSE standards and internal policies
Manage all warehouse functions including goods in, storage, stock control, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns
Develop a highâperforming team through clear objectives, coaching, training, and performance management
Plan and control labour to meet operational demand in the most costâeffective way
Drive service excellence, achieving industryâleading onâtime, inâfull delivery performance
Reduce operational errors and customer complaints through improved accuracy and process control
Design, implement, and continuously improve warehouse processes, layouts, and standard operating procedures
Manage thirdâparty logistics partners, carriers, and suppliers to optimise cost and service
Maintain robust inventory management, including cycle counts, audits, and stock reconciliation
Oversee equipment safety, maintenance, and compliance
Track and report operational KPIs including productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency
Maximise the effectiveness of WMS, scanning technology, and ERP systems to support dataâdriven decision making
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning for warehouse operations
About You
3â5+ years\â experience in warehouse management within a manufacturing or productionâled environment is preferred
Strong operational knowledge of warehousing, logistics, and inventory control
A proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fastâpaced setting
A track record of driving process improvement, efficiency, and cost reduction
Handsâon experience with WMS and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, IFS, Oracle, NetSuite) and strong Excel capability
Excellent understanding of warehouse safety, compliance, and equipment operations
A structured, analytical approach with strong problemâsolving skills
Clear communication skills and the confidence to influence across operations, supply chain, and leadership teams
Lean / Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma experience is advantageous
