I am recruiting a cracking role for a charity organisation based in Reading, with broad responsibilities including:
- Please only apply for this role if you have previous experience of charity / not for profit administration experience.
- Supporting the CEO, administrative support to the Leadership Team.
- Diary Management, attending meetings and minute taking.
- Primary contact of governance queries.
- Designing and delivering training or induction programmes.
- Project Coordination and Budget tracking.
- Supervising an Executive Assistant.

Location: Reading - On-Site Monday - Friday
Hours: 9:30am - 5pm (with flex)
Salary: £31,000 - £36,000 + Benefits including 35 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
Key Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience in governance, democratic processes, or charity administration.
- Experience supporting senior leaders or Boards, including minute-taking and meeting coordination.
- Designing and delivering training or induction programmes.
- Working with confidential information and maintaining discretion.
- Managing complaints.
- Senior administration/coordination experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience driving projects and/or events.
- Understanding of charity law, governance frameworks and democratic structures.
- GDPR essentials.
- Excellent minute writing skills with the ability to produce clear, accurate documentation.
- Team leader/line management competency.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and rapport with trustees, student leaders, committee chairs, and university stakeholders.
- Confident in managing calendars, inboxes, and coordinating events and meetings.
- Ability to analyse data and produce meaningful reports to support governance and engagement.
- Strong admin and time management/organisational skills.
- Good numeracy and basic data reporting/analysis.
- Problem solving - uses initiative to get things done and overcome challenges.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Tech-savvy and confident with MS 365 and other digital tools/databases.
- Meeting coordination/admin and discussion/facilitation skills.
- Multi-tasking and prioritisation.
- Creative thinking to bring new ideas.
