We are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer with strong SAP and Excel capability to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation based in Warwick. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and has extensive experience working with ERP/MRP systems within manufacturing. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting procurement operations, supplier management, material planning, and order execution, with SAP being central to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and processing purchase orders through SAP ERP
  • Using advanced Excel skills to analyse demand, track supplier performance, manage reporting, and support procurement decisions
  • Expediting materials and ensuring on-time delivery to support production requirements
  • Reviewing MRP requirements and coordinating supply continuity with vendors
  • Managing supplier communications, resolving invoice and delivery issues efficiently
  • Monitoring inventory levels and procurement data within SAP
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders while confidently challenging timelines and delivery expectations where required
  • Supporting continuous improvement within procurement and supply chain processes

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience within a Buyer, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Materials Planning role
  • Strong background working within manufacturing, engineering, or technical environments
  • Advanced SAP ERP experience is essential
  • Strong Excel capability including reporting, data analysis, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and procurement tracking
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems and material planning processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years' experience working with SAP ERP systems
  • Strong Excel reporting and data analysis skills
  • Procurement and purchasing experience within manufacturing
  • Experience managing suppliers and material schedules
  • Understanding of MRP and inventory management processes

Additional Information

  • £200 to £250 per day (Inside IR35)
  • 3 days on site in Warwick
  • 12-month contract opportunity
  • Candidates must have full right to work in the UK
