A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially driven Procurement professional to join a growing and ambitious organisation.

Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Lead Procurement Manager with a strong stockist environment background and experience managing multiple SKUs within a fast‑paced operational business. CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS would be a significant advantage. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving procurement strategy, modernising procurement operations, and leading a high‑performing procurement function.

As Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Group procurement strategy, with a strong focus on:

  • Strategic sourcing and supplier management
  • Procurement transformation and process improvement
  • MRP forecasting and inventory optimisation
  • Cost control and operational efficiency
  • Digital procurement systems and automation
  • Team leadership and development

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure procurement delivers commercial value, supports operational growth, and drives continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the Group procurement strategy aligned to business objectives
  • Lead procurement transformation initiatives including digital tools, analytics, and e‑procurement systems
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance KPIs
  • Drive efficiencies across sourcing, stock control, and supply chain operations
  • Further develop MRP forecasting systems (SAP Business One experience highly desirable)
  • Ensure procurement processes support monthly financial reporting timelines
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team
  • Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across the department

About You

  • Proven procurement leadership experience within a stockholding/stockist business
  • Experience managing high‑volume, multi‑SKU procurement environments
  • Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Experience with MRP systems and procurement analytics
  • A proactive, commercially focused mindset
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities
  • Experience leading teams in fast‑paced operational businesses
  • Knowledge of AI or digital procurement technologies would be advantageous
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) highly desirable
