A well-established and highly respected manufacturing business is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team in a hands-on, varied role that sits at the heart of operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional who enjoys working cross-functionally and being actively involved with production, warehousing and wider operational teams.
The Role
The business is seeking an individual with strong end-to-end supply chain experience gained within a manufacturing environment, ideally within a smaller or medium-sized organisation where exposure to the full supply chain lifecycle has been part of the role. There is also a genuine long-term opportunity for progression, with the current Supply Chain Manager openly considering retirement within the next three years, creating a clear succession opportunity for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating day-to-day supply chain activities to ensure continuity of materials and operational efficiency
- Working closely with Production and Warehouse teams to support material availability and resolve supply-related challenges
- Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to support informed operational decision-making
- Supporting purchasing, inventory control, supplier coordination and supply planning activities
- Monitoring stock levels and helping maintain optimum inventory to support customer and production demands
- Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure service levels and operational requirements are met
Key Requirements
- Previous Supply Chain experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
- Experience across the full supply chain lifecycle, ideally gained within an SME or smaller operational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with confidence engaging with stakeholders across Production, Warehouse and Operations teams
- Good awareness of Health & Safety within a manufacturing setting
- A Supply Chain qualification (or working towards one) would be highly advantageous; equivalent significant experience will also be considered
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
Package & Benefits
- Salary up to £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- 3% annual bonus based on individual and company performance
- 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays - rising to 28 days with service
- 5% employer contribution following probation
- Company-paid private healthcare and health cash plan following probation
